About me

On a mission to make moves—literally—Marcus “Prince of Krunk” Jackson, Kyle “Raziel” Young, and Darryl “Muney” Garner came together in 2007 to create a dynamic dance troupe. What started as a five-man-group slowly dwindled into Phantastik, the dopest dance trio in the Midwest and possibly the world. Gaining their start at East St. Louis Sr. High School, Phantastik quickly gained the support of their peers. As they entertained during their high school assemblies and other events, they eventually elevated to internet sensations. What started as a YouTube video used to showcase their dancing abilities quickly grew into a creative subculture used to not only entertain, but also inspire. From their first video “Crank My Rocket”, Phantastik dominated the dance scene which catapulted their confidence to choreograph other videos which expanded both their audience and opportunities to entertain in the industry. Before long, their talented tribute to Universal Music Group’s Pop It Off Boyz’ hit single “Crank That Batman” gained the group’s attention and Phantastik was awarded the opportunity to showcase their skills as background dancers for the Pop It Off Boyz as they debuted on BET’s top-rated show 106 & Park. Since their national debut, Phantastik became the most sought-after young choreographers in the industry. Crowned by fans as the “Crank Kingz”, Phantastik continued fulfilling their passion to entertain large audiences by sharing the stage with some of the industry’s most recognizable audiences at concerts such as: • Swagger Like Us Tour • Hypnotized Tour • Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash • AND1’s Ballin’ for Books Tour • St. Louis’ Hot 104.1 Super Jam II • Fyreboy Records’ Stop The Violence Concert hosted by 106 & Park’s Terrance and Rosci Phantastik was also featured in UnLadyLike’s “Bartender” video which aired on MTV, VH1, MTV Jamz, BET, and Charter on Demand which offered them the courage to cross over into various genre’s including hip hop, pop, crunk, and swagg. They were also nominated and voted as the winners of St. Louis’ Traffic Music Awards (TMAs) for Best Dance/Choreography of the year for 2010 and 2011. After obtaining feedback from Lenny S., VP and A&R at Def Jam; and working closely with Tommy Berry, VP IMG/Universal Music Group Gulfcoast; Phantastik built a solid fan base obtaining over 2.6 million YouTube hits and several social networking fan pages created in honor of the movement created by the young group. The trio continued their industry invasion by expanding their arena and releasing their debut mixtape entitled, Dancin’ Ass N*ggas which received over 100k listens within the first week of its release, obtaining the highest award—Gold Certification on TweetMySong.com—proving that Phantastik is not only a dance group, but digital marketing masterminds. They’ve also been featured multiple times in the Midwest magazine, InBox Magazine and DVD, which elevated their exposure among the hip hop circuit. Their influence impacted the world when they discovered teens across the country and overseas were posting videos of themselves mastering the choreography created by the “Crank Kingz” themselves. Since their debut, they’ve even obtained the attention of a young group in Japan who lists Phantastik amongst their idols.
